Shannon Spake
Shannon Spake was born July 23rd of 1976. She is an NASCAR reporter as well as a Fox Sports college and basketball reporter. Prior to that, she worked for ESPN, where she was an ESPN SportsCenter contributor, providing pre- and post-game updates. Also, she worked as sideline reporter for ESPN's SEC to report on ESPN basketball and college football matches. Spake has also been a journalist for the brand-new SEC Network, which is part of ESPN. Before coming to ESPN, Spake worked at Speed Channel, where she hosted NASCAR Nation in its second version (June through November 2005) and was also a reporter during its initial version (February until June 2005). Additionally, she hosted Back Seat Drivers, a talk show hosted by online columnist Marty Smith. Her prior on-air positions included WCCB in Charlotte, North Carolina, as well as Carolina Sports and Entertainment Television.
